‘Things Fall Apart' is the book written in 1959 by the Nigerian writer, Chinua Achebe. The novel itself is ironic, tragic and satirical the place that the author at most of the describes the conflict between the traditional world of Umuofia with the new customs through the white colored people. Another theme of the novel is usually contributed throughout the protagonist, Okonkwo, who struggles to be strong, masculine, well known family person, rather than his father, Unoka - weak, effeminate, laid back and poor. Through this kind of novel, Chinua Achebe attempts to prove that beliefs has always been a guiding power in man's life. This individual chooses the time of eighteenth to nineteenth century in Africa, the time of light men's appearance to the wasteland land. Accurately then, Christian religion was first introduced in Igbo community and had a turning effect on the further more life of Igbo persons. Igbo group had its own language and beliefs that had been followed for quite some time. The typical system which always explained the existence of Igbo people was not a longer because strong as at times of its creation. Younger generation was not able to understand the physical violence which their particular parents got inherited off their ancestors. Children were more interested in discovering love and delight, the elegance of music, rather than strict discipline, hurt, sorrow and pain. Therefore, there were various people who acknowledged the Christian religion and were converted to the new God. Nwoye was one of them. While ancestors stated, the men who have washed his hands may eat with kings. It can be clearly noticed that Okonkwo washes his hands, put simply, lives his life being different from his father. This individual washes off all of the possible memories about him, aiming to provide evidence that he does not have any genetics of his father. By contrast, Nwoye under no circumstances aimed to show his member to the clansmen.
