Throughout a clinical rotation we touch many patients, from numerous backgrounds, numerous different disease processes which will effect their very own systems. Every patient has their own own indications, of signs or symptoms, along with courses of actions which are taken up best fulfill their individual needs. One of the equipment used when ever caring for an individual is education. Educating the patient allows the patient to be even more involved in their care, and there is a greater possibility for conformity once the affected person knows what direction to go, and for what reason. As student nurses a great way we instruct our sufferers is through use of an individual teaching plan. The educating plan contains general knowledge in the patient's prognosis, disease process, medication , and treatment. One of the patients I had developed the opportunity to care for was a 64 year old girl which went by the initials E, Meters who was identified as having multiple program atrophy, anoxic brain injury, hypertension, dysphagia, hypothyroidism, and clostridium pas evident. These medications have a specific purpose in handling the disease procedure and symptoms that my patient demonstrates. When we take a look at Vancomycin we can say that the patient is usually taking this medicine to be treated for their clostridium difficile. With this drug there are plenty of facts the patient must know; including being aware of dosage, associated hazards like issues with hearing, and toxicity towards the body. Although drugs just like Levothyroxine include a series of unwanted effects which differ from the others, varying in seriousness. It is associated with weight loss, hairloss, irregular inhaling and exhaling, to indications of over dosage; like modify or damage in consciousness, sudden slurring of presentation, and immediate loss of dexterity. It can be said that all drugs have unwanted side effects, but it is of utmost importance to teach the person about items which can adjust their life-style, or drop them off debilitated, or dead. So as to have an effective teaching plan, a single must go through the patient as a complete getting, and not by simply their disease process. Religious beliefs, and culture must be deemed when producing the teaching plan, in the event that things such as diet plan, or methods work as opposed to their personal beliefs.
