Queen Hatshepsut was the 1st female pharaoh who ruled Egypt. Your woman reigned during 1473 – 1458 N. C. E. She initially served as co-ruler with her stepson Tuthmosis III, but after took electricity as a pharaoh herself. Though she was a great ruler, the idea of possessing a female leader was new to Egyptians and that unsettled all of them. As an effort to present her in unthreatening guise to generate Egyptians think more at ease, artists portrayed Queen Hatshepsut as a guy wearing the stylized beards that are traditionally associated with pharaohs. This touch shows how females are subordinate to males since they did certainly not feel comfortable that their country was being led by a girl. That is why most societies turned to patriarchal guideline. This gesture also confirmed how they did not respect Full Hatshepsut since they changed her graphic as a male.
