Empiricism, or the belief that knowledge can be achieved throughout the senses, was a popular idea amongst some of the greatest modern philosophers. Perhaps the most prominent Empiricists were John Locke, George Berkeley and David Hume, most of whom happen to be regarded as probably the most influential philosophers of the last 500 years. Each of the people philosophers can be viewed as Empiricists as a result of importance of knowledge throughout all their philosophical rules. More specifically, Locke's empirical sights can be seen in his idea of the primary and second qualities of your object. Berkeley's empiricism is definitely evident in his critique of Locke's concept of abstract concepts. Lastly, Hume can be considered as the utmost consistent empiricist of the group as he did not waver from experience being the original source of knowledge with the root of reasoning. Steve Locke's scientific views will be evident through his philosophical principles. Locke believed that there were zero such things as natural thoughts and that the only method a person could attain knowledge about something happens to be through directly experiencing it. This is especially evident in his justification of things having major and extra qualities. Locke suggests that all things posses two qualities info: primary attributes and supplementary qualities. Primary qualities include traits which can be completely in the object including the shape of a ball.
